Finally ... I have finished editing this blog :)
This blog created to complement the first project of micro teaching course in this sixth semester.
Before I share my expectation and suggestion about this course, let me give the description about micro teaching itself.
Microteaching is a training technique whereby the teacher reviews a video tape of the lesson after each session, in order to conduct a "post-mortem". Teachers find out what has worked, which aspects have fallen short, and what needs to be done to enhance their teaching technique.(Wikipedia)
From the description above, we know that actually micro teaching is a course which the goal is to enhance the student's teaching technique. That's why the micro teaching is very important course for us who will be a teacher then.
Honestly, my teaching skill is rather poor, I felt that sometime my student (in the course that I've been joining) was unable or difficult to understand about my explanation about a subject matter, so that I have to repeat the material again and again :) I never blame them because they are difficult in understanding the material. Precisely, do they give me a lot of strategies to teach them better and better!!
I have many expectation in this course. After I have joining this course, I hope I can become more confident, motivated to teach well, and get more strategies to how I am going to present my self in front of the class . In addition, I also want to learn about planning out how to treat the subject matter well, manage the class and involve the student in the class without pressure. So, my suggestion is the material of this course were corresponding with my expectation. I hope there will be many knowledges and strategies in this course which can be applied in the future.
It will be better if we can use our micro teaching lab in the second floor of our lovely building. Maybe there are some reasons about why we do not use that room regularly. I don't know clearly about that, but I really want to use that room. I hope that we can use that some day.
As we know that, you (our micro-teaching course's lecturer) had ever been abroad, I also hope that you do not mind to tell us about your experiences in there, some unique places, or maybe your students in there and your tricks to face them, just like sharing, so we do not get bored soon.
