Last Reflection in Microteaching

Yeeeeeeeeeeeee ...
Finally, holiday comes for us ^^/
Today is the last day in this sixth semester and the last day in micro teaching course :)
Umm ... I'm really happy, but I have to reflect what I had got today for you ^^
Today, there were four presenters, they were Bryan, Julius, Yayan, and Rian. Wow ... all of the boys here, right?
But I do love their presentations, they wore same shirts, yes, our class' uniform, love it!! ^^

The first presenter was Bryan ...
It was the first time I took camera to record my friend ^^ It was very interesting. Bryan has prepared his materiall well, but I think he always focuses on the slide show that he brought, so that he did not attractive with the students, ummm ...  and he also forgot to make conclusion, maybe because he had to be hurried up, because the time was limited ^^ but, good job for you ...

The second was Julius, he taught us about written and unwritten rules ... nice presentation :)
You were a happy teacher I think, because you always smile, smile and smile, hahaha ... it looked like that you were not arrogant teacher ^^ Be more interactive with your students, speak louder, and my suggestion is your worksheet was too easy, and you made same problems to all of the group, it would be better if you made a different problems between us.

The third is Yayan, he taught about multiplication. Wow ... as a boy in this class, you are the best in activating your class ^^ good job for you, I love the way when you made some illustration with turtles, game that you made, and the reward (yes, because I got it, thanks Yayan :D)
You have done a great job, but you have to speak slowly when bringing a new material for your students, especially in the low grader. You also taught a wrong concept in multiplication, but do not worry, you have to be careful and master your material in the future, so there will be a wrong concept in your students. And the last suggestion for you, you have to make easier example first, because in your presentation you were directly give us a difficult example, it was to scared, but overall great job for you :)

And the last is Mr.Rian ... he taught about natural disaster. He looked like a real teacher. He wore batik and name card on his shirt, that's why I called him, Mr. Rian, haha
I love your video and you did not seem nervous in your presentation, maybe it because you usually teach in front of the class. Your material was understandable for us, but if you make a variation in your material, it would be great.^^

Ok ... this is the end of our course. I love this course so much :)
Thank you for Mr. Steve that had guided and facilitate us in this course ^^
A lot of teaching skills that I got, the reward, the nervousness from me and my friends, the stressful atmosphere, the reward, oh ... many valuable things that will be missed >.<
Have a great holiday friends, Bali is comiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing ^^

Microteaching - Part 7

Ummm ...
This is our last week ... I'll miss this class very much ... the rewards, my friends; presentation, and the last important thing is many lesson that can be taken from their teaching practices :(
The last performance .. There are three performance, there are Fifit, Mary and Aben...
They were great in doing their job ...
The first presenter is Fifit ... She taught about Force, you had prepared your material well, by preparing a cutie song ^^ and bringing a lot of props (like : jelly, balloons, balls, etc). I like when you singing with your students altogether, it just make a lively atmosphere ^^ good jod fifiiit ...

The second presenter is Marry, umm actually in the first time you showed us your video, I didn't know what will you taught, ooh ... it is about telephone manners, right? I like your video, you made it by yourself, right? Yes ... because I knew when, where, and who is the actress in the video which you taken :D
Good job for you, Mer ^^ if you could speak louder, it will be greater ^^

And the last is Aben ... Actually I still confused about your material, ben ... if you are more confident, manage your students, interactive with them and master you material well. It will be great ... One more suggestion for you, speak louder and clearly to your student so they will not be bored ...
But you had done your best ^^

Everyone had their own teaching strategies and skills, just take a positive lesson from other to get more enjoyable teaching strategies, good job for you all :)

Microteaching - Part 6

Ummm...
This class will be ended guys :( ... and as usual I had to make the reflection of our class last week...
There were three presenters in that day. They were Yessy, Lia, and Vita.
Wow ... they have good skill in teaching, I think...

The first presenter is Yessy ...
Umm, she taught about civics education, it was good that you have prepared well your material before, but sometime you seemed doubt and nervous with that. And maybe you have to practice to appreciate your student by writing their comment in white board or say to them that they had a good answer. And I love the way when you summarized your material with the students altogether, it was an important key in teaching.

The second is Lia, good teaching practice mbak, I like when you paused your video in a few minutes and ask/explain something to your students, I'll take your video skill in my teaching practice in the future ^^
Thanks for your material, it helps me so much when filling my worksheet :D
Reward is important, but I don't like it if teacher always gives it to their students every time he/she taught. And, you don't bring that, like it :) (but actually I want that, haha)

The last is Vita, you give us an impressive game, but I think it was too difficult to elementary school's students, because I felt it was rather difficult for me, and it takes too much time ^^ But don't worry, you can manage the time on time ...
You have prepared your material well, you can active your class, and I don't know what I'm going to say...It just great teaching practice...

And for the last presenter in this week...Keep fightiiiiing !!
You can do better than us!!

Microteaching - Part 5

I’m sorry I’m late to post this fifth reflection of the microteaching course.

The 15th March class remembered me about how silly I am, haha … because actually the class was being held in microteaching lab, but I was walking on to CXY building and found out that nobody in that room…. I decided to call my friends but no one answered it, so I go to microteaching lab annoyingly and I found some friends’ sandals there :D

OK…Let’s join with me ^^

Actually, there were 3 persons who would present their teaching practice in that day, but just two person who did their job, they are Nicha and Yunita.

The first presenter is Nicha, umm … she was a kind teacher because we get a lot of reward in her class \^^/ but…you always focused on with your slides and sometimes you were looks confused with your material, if you were more interactive with your students and learn your material farther, it would be better. But I like your star point in every questions to your students, it was an effective way to active your class. Good job…

The second is Yunita … Good job for you, your props were very cute, I like your reward too, and I love the way when we sang together \^^/ Maybe you can support your students with appreciating their answers. Don’t forget to always smile to them :)
Because becoming first or second grader students always makes me happy, ayeeee ^^

Hope there will be nicer presenters in this week ^^

Microteaching Part 4

Hmm ...
So many lessons that I have got in this course.
And as usual ... I have to post the fourth teaching practice in this blog ...
The fourth teaching practice was used micro teaching lab again ^^
Haha I like that room badly actually ^^
OK ... the teacher of that session is Theo, Suci and Betty.
WOW ... this is a great teaching practice, they have done their best, I felt the chemistry in them.

The first presenter is Theo ..
He taught us about personal document, he taught us with his own way. Maybe he role-play his self, or I don't know what he was doing, haha ... Yes, he played as a terorist in this class, umm ... I like the way you played it, but it really scared, hehe..
But, good job for Theo ... Please avoid taking your hands in front of your chest, it seemed like you are an arrogant teacher.

The second presenter is Suci ... ye yeyee ... your video was so cute. I like it.
Please control your class and you have to speak louder. But overall you have doing a great job with your patient, tie :)

The last presenter is Betty, you are a kind teacher, sist ..... You have made cute clocks for your students, it was nice props ^^. But it will be better if you give them to us in the first teaching, or first time I think ...
That's really great.
Overall they have done a great job, give applause to them \^^/
I hope the next presenter will be more interesting, although we do not use micro teaching lab again :(
amiiin !!

Microteaching-Part 3

How's life everybody ....
My reflection to the third teaching practice is "I just was so relieved"
It because I had done my teaching practice in that day, altough it had a lack of teaching skills but it was the best I can do for you, guys :D
Thank you for your comments and attention.

The third teaching practice is Nia, Erik, and me.

As the first, Nia had done her best, altough she seemed nervous and the video which had been shown was too long, but her colorful papers and the chocolate as the prizes or rewards were so interesting ^^ good job for you. I know that to be the first is really hard.

The second is me. I could not comment anything about this. Look another friend's post if you want to see how crazy my teaching practice is ^^

The third is the turn for Erik, he had done his best. But he looks not mastering the material and seems an arrogant teacher. Keep on smiling to your students, Erik ... ^^
It would be better if you activated your class by giving us rewards or worksheet, so the students would be more focussed on you. It would be better if you were not focused on your slide show, you had a good confidence which very important in teaching skill, it will be great and better if you could improve all of them :)

Good luck for the next teaching practice, friends.

I just feel relieved now :D fighting...fighting...fighting!!!

Microteaching - Part 2

I don't know what I'm going to say here >.<
I will tell the main idea only, because they were very good in teaching practice and make me confused...OK, let's move ^^

Our micro teaching course on Thursday, February 23rd 2012 was so meaningful to me, it just because we used our micro teaching lab, so the teaching chemistry were so strong, haha
Especially, our friends who presented their teaching practices have done their best perfectly ... They are Ayu, Priska, and Desya.

First, Ayu taught about folktale ... I like the way when she read the folktale for us with a good expression and she gave instructions slowly, so the students could understand it. But sometimes, she yelled us with "negative impression" like "Poor you!!", wow...it's a huge matter, the students would not respect you, if you still said like that. Please be careful, tie :)

The second teaching practice is Priska, hmmm, she taught so well ... she will be a good teacher I think, she could bring the material become more interesting to learn, she was so patient too ... It looked when she paid attention to her students one by one until we understood. You have done a great job, sist ... My suggestion for you, please be careful with your time management, when the discussion time, you gave us too much times, it could make your students bored and chatted with another friends.

The last chance is Desya ... she have done her best ... she could explain clearly and gave the students more active by giving us candies (but it limited, and make us become annoyed with her, haha just kidding). I like the way you motivated like that, but please gave the candies not in the first time in answering your opening questions. It would be better if you gave the candies in the end of the class to your most active students ^^

But overall they have perform their best, and may be I can not as good as you in teaching. Keep on smiling, ties :)
